The XWA has today signed a deal to hold its next major live event - XWA War on the Shore VI - at a new venue in Morecambe, on Saturday April 3....
XWA War on the Shore VI will emanate from The Carleton on Morecambe promenade, just yards down the road from the XWA's longtime home The Morecambe Dome. XWA co-owner Mark Kay said this was a "historic" move for the XWA, after seven years of promoting shows at The Dome - which is earmarked for closure in March. "We are delighted that XWA will be staying in Morecambe and also delighted to be working with The Carleton," said Mark. "We believe our partnership with The Carleton will open up new avenues for the XWA and take us to even greater heights. "We looked at several other venues in the Morecambe area, but we believe The Carleton is the best choice for the XWA and its fans. "We will pull out all the stops to ensure that our first show at The Carleton, XWA War on the Shore VI on Saturday April 3 2010, will give the XWA fans the kind of live pro wrestling experience they have come to expect from the XWA." Stewart Aimson, manager of The Carleton, said he was equally delighted to be working with the XWA. "As a big wrestling fan myself, I've wanted to bring the XWA to The Carleton for many years," said Mr Aimson. "This is a major coup for The Carleton and I personally can't wait to see what the XWA has in store on Saturday, April 3."
