You would have thought nerves would be setting in just 24 hours ahead of the biggest night of Tom Lambert's life. But just a day before he finally achieves his lifelong dream and wrestles his first ever match at XWA Goldrush, the cousin of XWA owner Greg Lambert appears to be the picture of confidence...
In fact if Tom is sick with worry about squaring off against 'The Bollywood Dream' RJ Singh - a man who has vowed to rip Tom's head off and make him think twice about stepping into the ring ever again - the loveable Lambert is doing a great job of hiding it. "I'm ready!" he excitedly panted, while jogging on the spot and chewing on a Special K cereal bar. "I've trained hard for this. Well, you'll have seen me training on XWA YouTube with my good friend 'The Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere. SO MACHO! I love that song. "I'm in the shape of my life! RJ Singh isn't going to know what's hit him. I've got so many tricks up my sleeve. I'm gonna nail him with the Swan-Tom Bomb, the Rock Bot-Tom and the Tom-Stone Piledriver. I'm gonna make all my fans, the Tomboys, so very, very proud. XWA, RJ Singh, get ready, 'cos I'm going to shock the world! "I know I'm a massive underdog, but that's the way I like it. It takes the pressure of me. But so many of my friends in the wrestling business have been in touch over the past few days, wishing me good luck, telling me they're all behind me and backing me to win. My good pal Scott Hall even said he'd have a drink on me. HEY YO, CHICO! SURVEY SAYS, TOM'S GONNA BEAT RJ SINGH! 
"This is the last show ever at The Morecambe Dome. My last chance to achieve my dream and wrestle in front of The Morecambe Dome fans. And I'm going to do it. I can't believe it, I'm actually going to do it! And I'm going to win! "I'm so grateful to my cousin Greg for giving me this chance. And I promise, Greg, tomorrow night, at XWA Goldrush, at the last night at The Morecambe Dome, I will make you so very, very, proud of me. "Greg, XWA, Scott Hall, Morecambe Dome, Johnny Phere, and all my millions (SNIFF) AND MILLIONS of Tomboys....I promise you all. I will NOT let you down! "(Breathes heavily). Ooh. I think I've got a stitch. If you'll excuse me, I think I need a lie down..." Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Despite all of his innocent bravado, we think that deep down, Cousin Tom is absolutely bricking it. And if he isn't, if he really thinks tomorrow night is going to be like playing on his wrestling video games, or with his action figures, or like he's always dreamed it will be over years and years growing up as a massive wrestling fan - then it could be a night when fantasy gets a very sharp, short dose of reality. Most experts think RJ Singh will beat the living hell out of Tom, and the results will not be pretty AT ALL. But what if Tom is right? What if Tom HAS trained hard for this? What if Johnny Phere's influence has rubbed off on him? What if he's learned a few wrestling holds and manoeuvres? What if RJ Singh takes him lightly? What if Tom Lambert can channel the support of all his Tomboys inside The Morecambe Dome - who are bound to be wildly behind him - and pull off what would surely be the greatest upset not only in XWA Wrestling history, but the history of wrestling....full stop? Well, to hell with journalistic impartiality. What a story that would be. So we hope he does it. We're pulling for him. We're backing Tom to shock the world tomorrow night at XWA Goldrush. COME ON TOM! YOU CAN DO IT!
