As you can see from our exclusive footage and XWA music video in our XWA YouTube section, RJ Singh has been named the number one contender to the UK Luchador's British Flyweight Title, which he captured for the second time at the recent Goldrush event. It appears that 'The Bollywood Dream' earned this shot after his brutal and controversial victory over Tom Lambert at the same event, as a sickening reward from Tom's cousin - Greg 'The Truth' Lambert. This is another in a series of extremely questionable decisions by the XWA owner. However, Singh justifies the decision by saying that as the only other two-time British Flyweight Champion in XWA history, he is most deserving of the first shot at the Mexican - a man he knows only too well. And don't forget, RJ did also eliminate Ligero from this year's Goldrush rumble, a rumble he so very nearly won altogether. Not only have Ligero and Singh duelled bitterly in the Frontier Wrestling Alliance in 2009 and 2010, but they also had a storied rivalry in the XWA in 2007. Then, Ligero chased Singh's British Flyweight Title for a full year. Ligero defeated Singh several times in non-title matches before finally getting a fair shot at Singh's belt at XWA Last Fight at the Prom 2007. On that night, the The Man of Mystery defeated The Crown Prince in a classic Mexican Streetfight to win his first Flyweight championship. Since then Singh has simmered and seethed that he has never managed to defeat El Ligero in an XWA ring. But he will get his chance come Saturday April 3 when the XWA debuts at The Carleton in Morecambe. XWA War on the Shore VI will be a night of new beginnings.
