21/4/08 - STIXX WANTS STONE
Members of the XWA roster are queuing up to exact revenge on Martin Stone after the self-professed Guv’nor of British wrestling gatecrashed War On The Shore: The Anniversary Show and left several of the XWA’s top stars battered and bruised with a vicious assault.
Heading the queue is Stone’s former British Tag Team Championship partner ‘The Heavyweight House of Pain’ Stixx. Stixx was the first to feel the wrath of Stone on April 12, suffering a number of heavy shots with a cricket bat and then The Guv’nor’s lethal finisher the London Bridge DDT.
Stixx and Stone have hated each other for years since the bitter break-up of their team, and now as ‘The Heavyweight House of Pain’ has pledged his loyalty to the XWA, and because he knows Stone better than just about anyone else, he would seem the ideal candidate to face Stone man-to-man and give him the beating he deserves.
However, XWA boss Greg Lambert – who has also hated Stone for years and once famously said in an interview that he would never employ the East End hardman ever again – has absolutely no intention of booking Stone for any XWA events and despite Stixx’s pleas, is thought to have told ‘The Heavyweight House of Pain’ that Stone would enter the hallowed turf of The Morecambe Dome again over his dead body.
This is an extremely delicate situation and feelings are clearly running high. Stixx wants violent revenge, but Lambert despises Stone so much that he doesn’t even want him in the building when the XWA presents Vendetta on Saturday, July 5. Will Greg back down? Only time will tell.
