21/4/08 - WHO TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS?

Management of The Morecambe Dome have confirmed that the incident at War On The Shore on April 12 when the lights went out following the main event was not caused by an electrical failure.

When darkness fell on The Dome, immediately after ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm pinned Stevie Knight to retain his British Heavyweight Title, it was first believed the venue had suffered a power cut – especially as earlier in the evening there had been several technical problems with the lighting.

However, the XWA website understands that following a thorough investigation by Dome management, they have informed XWA bosses that the lights did not cut out due to any technical failings.

One theory currently doing the rounds in the XWA office – where paranoia is running rife after the disturbing events at the end of War On The Shore - is that somebody physically did something to cut the power, allowing Martin Stone and his henchmen The Kartel the cover of darkness to enter the ring and carry out their devastating attack on Stixx, Jonny Storm and others.  There is concern therefore that Stone and The Kartel may have had an accomplice who not only turned out the lights, but also probably helped them gain access to the building.

But who would do such a thing? Someone from inside the XWA roster, or maybe someone from IPW:UK or another rival organisation? The XWA is expected to carry out a thorough investigation and we will keep you posted on developments.
